Photograph Album of Ifuho and other locations in Nigeria
1930 -1948
This photograph album, largely focusing on Ifuho, shows the development of SHCJ and HHCJ (handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus) run schools in Nigeria during the SHCJ's first few decades in this country. There are also images of events that were important to the sisters, such as the celebration of Corpus Christi, the Clothing Ceremony of HHCJ sisters and the weddings of past pupils and other local people known to the SHCJ community.

In 1959 Mother Mary Laurentia - an American who was one of the first three SHCJ to work in Nigeria in October 1930 - returned to visit both Nigeria and Ghana as part of a visitation in her role as SHCJ Superior General. Displayed here are the pictures from the Nigerian part of her journey.

This album of photographs and short passages by the Primary school pupils concerning the school and their First Communion, was presented as a gift to Mother Mary Laurentia Dalton the year she made a visitation of the African Province as SHCJ Superior General.
